Resin bound tree pits have an open texture which allows the trees to grow, with the aggregate peeling back as the truck continues to expand. As well as this, typically stone sizes of 6-10mm are used to ensure a highly porous structure allowing water to freely permeate through to the tree roots. Therefore, Resin Tree pits aren't just a good choice due to their appearance but they are also good for the health of the trees.

Using Resin Bound Surfacing around tree pits provides an easy to maintain surface with no loose stone, avoiding trip hazards and the build up of litter associated with traditional metal grilles/shingles and facilitating easy cleaning by mechanical sweepers
Permeable
The tree pit system uses specifically selected aggregates to allow water to flow through to the roots while maintaining a highly durable surface.
Long Lasting
The cured paving has a texture finish resistant to degradation caused by weather and UV radiation, oil, fuel and some commonly used solvents. Under normal usage the paving is expected to have a life span at least equivalent to conventional paving materials.
